Renuvion (helium plasma) and BodyTite (bipolar radiofrequency) tighten the skin from the inside through tiny incisions. They are the alternative for people with mild to moderate laxity who don't want excisional surgery.
Both technologies heat the subcutaneous tissue in a controlled way so that collagen contracts and regenerates. They are used alone or right after liposculpture, when we know the skin will need help adapting to the new contour.
Dr. Yolotzin was an instructor for Renuvion in Latin America and for BodyTite, so she knows their indications and limits in depth. In consultation she will tell you honestly whether your case will benefit from energy or whether a lift will give a better result.

General information so you arrive at your consultation with the right questions. Your plan is defined at your consultation.
Technique
Local anesthesia with sedation; 2 to 3 mm incisions.
BodyTite heats the tissue with bipolar radiofrequency between an internal probe and an external electrode, with real-time temperature control.
Renuvion delivers helium plasma beneath the skin and contracts collagen immediately.
Combined with liposculpture when there is both fat and laxity.
Aftercare
Compression garment for 2 to 3 weeks.
Avoid direct sun and heat (sauna, steam) on the area for one month.
Hydration and walking; strenuous exercise resumes at 2 weeks.
Results and how long they last
The initial tightening shows once the swelling goes down (2 to 4 weeks) and keeps improving up to 6 months as the collagen continues to remodel.
Risks and how we reduce them
There may be prolonged swelling, small irregularities or temporary numbness. It does not replace a lift when laxity is severe; that is said clearly in consultation.
Step by step
Recovery roadmap: Renuvion and BodyTite
Day 1

Week 1
Back to daily activities; avoid direct sun on the treated area.
Month 1
The skin begins to look firmer; continue compression as directed.
Month 3
Progressive tightening that keeps improving through month 6.
Approximate timelines. Your exact roadmap depends on your case, the technique and how your body heals. Results vary.
