Hyaluronic acid restores the volume the face loses over the years and defines areas such as the cheekbones, chin, jawline or lips. It is a molecule the body recognizes and reabsorbs over time.
The most common mistake is filling the wrinkle. A plastic surgeon thinks in terms of structure: where support was lost and how to restore it so the face looks rested and proportionate, not "puffy".
A cannula is used in most areas to reduce bruising and vascular risk, with products of different densities depending on the area: firmer for the chin and jawline, softer for the lips and under-eye hollows.
Is it for me?
Cheekbones or cheeks that have lost volume.
Thin or asymmetrical lips that should look natural.
A poorly defined chin or jawline.
Sunken under-eye hollows and deep folds.

General information so you arrive at your consultation with the right questions. Your plan is defined at your consultation.
Technique
Analysis of facial thirds and support points (cheekbone, chin, jaw angle).
Application with a blunt cannula in deep planes for structure and superficial planes for detail.
Products with health-authority registration, with different rheology depending on the area.
Aftercare
Gentle ice and sleep with your head elevated the first night.
No makeup for 12 hours and no pressure on the area (massages, heavy glasses) for one week.
Avoid intense heat, alcohol and strenuous exercise for 48 hours.
Results and how long they last
Immediate, with the final result at one month once the product integrates. Lasts 9 to 18 months; the lips somewhat less, the chin and cheekbones longer.
Risks and how we reduce them
Bruising, swelling and correctable asymmetry. The serious risk is vascular occlusion, very uncommon, which is prevented with a cannula and anatomical knowledge and is treated immediately with hyaluronidase. That is why it is recommended that a specialist performs it.
